Hi, my name is Aarij (AH-ridge), here’s a bit about me!

I am an enthusiastic cook and foodie, willing to taste any dish at least once. I take inspiration from South Asian, South East Asian and Mexican cuisine for my own adventures in the kitchen. I love to read fiction and fantasy novels, particularly those which critique systems of oppression.

Frequent trips to Pakistan as a child have left me with a love for traveling, and I’ve had the privilege of visiting 19 countries, with lots more on my list! I speak English, Urdu/Hindi, am studying Spanish and hope to work in both South Asia and Latin America someday. On my days off, you can find me in the park, curled up in a hammock with my Kindle, a cup of chai and lots of snacks.
